January means back to school! I don’t know about you but one thing that inspires me to go to school (waaaay back) is that I get to wear new clothes and trends! Teehee! 😉
I was a nursing student back then and we wear uniforms on a daily basis, so a wash day opportunity is a hurrah for me. However, I understand that there are people that will wear uniform anytime of the day, 5 days a week since it is practical and that I-have-nothing-to-wear dillema. One thing to note about dressing up is that you don’t have to sacrifice modesty and your personal style. You don’t have to make your wallet cry too, especially if you’re still a student. It’s a matter of finding the right pieces (complementary colors) that will fit comfortably with your body type and your budget (take note on sales that still has your size).
Never sacrifice comfort (in all aspects) over a trend. If cropped tops and high waists are too revealing in your school yet you want to be trendy at the same time, just throw in a trusty cover-up (denim jacket, long-sleeves, hoodie) then you’re good to go! Don’t forget to pair your outfit with the right accessories. I personally love accessories that are not over-the-top yet too cute to resist like this heart necklace from X.O.X.O. (PS. They have the cutest jewelry section! Make sure to check them out!) Hope you have a blast this semester! 😉
