Welcome back my lovely reader! ❤ A month long hiatus in Katwinvasion deserves a post on Life Lessons. If you’re new to my blog, then let me be the first one to welcome you here! It means a lot. ❤
Let me just #explain what this category is all about: Life Lessons is a special category in Katwinvasion. It is where I write tidbits of my life which I consider priceless lessons from God in whichever season I am in. Moments of little victories, life updates, priceless lessons, shifting seasons, and whatnots are just some of the things that I’ll be sharing in this very personal category. I hope I won’t bore you with my blabs. 😉
Now what about today? Have I told you that I’m already four months engaged with the fiancé and barely two months to go until the big day! Whoa! I know, I know that’s a lot to take in so please take your time to inhale and exhale. Don’t even get me started on wedding preparations because I tell you, there’ll be a lot about it for March. Yays!
Today is one of the not so pretty days being engaged. Let me tell you that shifting seasons from singlehood to married life has its advantages and disadvantages, and I can go on giving you a list of it but this post isn’t about that. Today is just about one thing that God spoke to my heart that made me cry a river (good, comforting tears of course) in the midst of this betrothed season.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends..
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a ESV
How can I ever forget The Way of Love when it’s the verse engraved on the engagement ring? I see what you did there, fiancé. Hoho! What a very timely reminder both on good and bad days. And if you’re having a rough day, may this also be a gentle reminder for you not to give up, to walk in the way of love, to be patient and kind (even if it’s our default to do otherwise), to rejoice with the truth, to bear all things, believe all things, to hope, and endure all things. Sweet friend, love never ends.
My prayer for you is this: that you may find strength in God in difficult times and to cling to what is true; that He who promised is faithful and that He is able to complete what He started in you and in your relationship.
